Firefighters rescue dog from Noblesville house fire

The dog was treated outside the house for injuries and then transported to a local veterinarian clinic for further treatment and care.

NOBLESVILLE, Ind. — A dog is receiving treatment at a local veterinarian clinic after being rescued from a Noblesville house fire. 

According to a social media post from the Noblesville Fire Department, firefighters were called to a house fire in the 6000 block of Rothwell Drive, near East 216th Street and North Millcreek Road, in the early afternoon hours of Saturday, April 13. 

Firefighters arrived at the house and could see smoke coming from inside. No one was injured in the fire, but NFD says a dog was found inside the home during the primary search. 

The dog was treated outside the house for injuries and then transported to a local veterinarian clinic for further treatment and care. 

NFD says the cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
