After several years reporting and anchoring around the country, Emmy Award-winning Naomi Pescovitz is thrilled to be home. Her family moved to Indiana before her first birthday and her heart has been in Hoosierland ever since.

Naomi joins WTHR from KSTP, the ABC affiliate in Minneapolis, Minnesota where she was a reporter and fill-in anchor. While in Minneapolis, Naomi covered everything from politics to medicine (and snow, of course). She was honored for her medical reporting by the Minnesota Medical Association and LifeSource, the organ donation organization in the Upper-Midwest.

Before moving to Minneapolis, Naomi reported at KVOA, the NBC affiliate in Tucson, Arizona. As a young journalist, Naomi was one of the first on scene when Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords was shot while meeting with constituents at a local grocery store. Naomi believes that experience shaped her perspective, pushing her to find stories of hope and triumph even during the most difficult times.

She started her reporting career at KULR-8 in Billings, Montana. She also reported at WIBW in Topeka, Kansas.

Naomi graduated from the Medill School of Journalism at Northwestern University with a double major in Journalism and International Studies. While at Northwestern, she was a reporter, associate producer, anchor and news director for the Emmy award winning Northwestern News Network.

She is a proud Hoosier and graduate of North Central High School, where she earned an International Baccalaureate Diploma from one of the first IB programs in the state. While at North Central, Naomi was co-editor of the Northerner yearbook and the captain of the Pantherettes dance team.

In her late father's memory, Naomi is passionate about organ donation and research. She is also committed to women's health issues, particularly finding a cure for breast and ovarian cancers.

Naomi's first loves are her family, friends and food. She is always looking for new restaurants and foods to try and would love to hear your suggestions!
