INDIANAPOLIS (WTHR) - Metro Police detectives are looking for a black Dodge Ram van with a ladder on the roof that they think was involved in a Saturday evening crash on Michigan Road that left a woman critically injured.

Just before 6:00 p.m., police were called to a crash in 6600 block of Michigan Road and found the woman's black Ford sedan with the driver's side crushed in. Medics and fire crews pulled her out and she was taken to the hospital in critical condition.

Witnesses said the van that hit her car was a black full-sized van that drove away after the accident.

Investigators are now seeking the public's help in locating the black van.

They say it's a 1998-2004 Dodge Ram with a ladder on the roof when the crash occurred.

Surveillance pictures show significant front passenger side damage.
