INDIANAPOLIS — The Indianapolis Fire Department believes lightning possibly caused a fire at an east side business Thursday afternoon.
According to a social media post from IFD, firefighters were called to Detail + Design, located at 1336 E. Washington Street on a report of a fire around 3 p.m. on March 14.
IFD says lightning may have caused the fire to begin in the attic space of the business. Employees called 911 to report the fire and were able to safely evacuate the building.
The fire was reportedly marked as under control in just 10 minutes after an aggressive attack from firefighters.
