CINCINNATI (WTHR) — Crossroads Church in Cincinnati is helping thousands of families in need.
Through the help of donations and an organization called Rest in Peace Medical Debt, the church is helping wipe out medical debt for 45,000 families, WLWT reported.
The organization bundles debt from hospitals and buys it at a fraction of what's actually owed.
A total of $465,000 was given for the total debt owed, according to WLWT.
"We felt so blessed that the church did this," recipient Rebecca Alcorn told WLWT.
This was the largest campaign to clear medical debt the company has ever conducted, WLWT reported. Most of the recipients are local.
