INDIANAPOLIS (WTHR) — March 9 marks one year since baby Amiah Robertson was last seen alive. She was 8 months old.

Many questions still remain in the case of the missing baby, but IMPD homicide detectives are still actively searching for answers.

While the case remains open, detectives offered a brief update:

  • Suspects remain the same.
  • The investigation is ongoing.
  • Detectives are actively following up on leads.

Amiah was last seen after being dropped off with a babysitter on South Holmes Avenue March 9, 2019.

Her mother, Amber Robertson, reported her missing on March 16. By March 23, police said they were treating the case as a homicide investigation.

In October, search crews checked Eagle Creek on Indianapolis' west side for Amiah's remains — a place they had checked earlier in the year in March.

Detectives have questioned the babysitter who was watching Amiah the last time she was seen alive. They've also questioned Robert Lyons, who is the ex-boyfriend of Amiah's mother.

Police named Lyons as a suspect in the little girl's disappearance.
