Philip Koch, a member of the family that owns Holiday World and Splashin' Safari and other Christmas-themed businesses in southern Indiana's Spencer County, has died eight days after suffering a heart attack. He was 47.

HO HO Holdings LLC says Koch died Tuesday morning at Deaconess Hospital in Evansville.

Koch was the owner of Lake Rudolph Campground & RV Resort and was the president, chief executive officer and treasurer of HO HO Holdings. It's also the parent company of Santa Claus Christmas Store, Kringle Place Shopping Center and Santa's Land, LLC.

Koch is survived by his wife and two children.

His brother, Will Koch, who led Holiday World through a large expansion, died in 2010 at age 48.
