FISHERS, Ind. (WTHR) - The City of Fishers says they have reached an agreement to allow Metronet to resume work.

City officials say Metronet has updated their safety practices and improved sub-contractor training.

The City of Fishers ordered Metronet to stop work in August after they say sub-contractors struck several natural gas lines while installing fiber lines.

The agreement provides that any breach of safety protocol may result in a stop work order.

The City says before digging resumes in neighborhoods, Metronet will be providing notice to residents affected within 30 days of entering their property.
