MISHAWAKA - A northern Indiana eye clinic run by a doctor who died with his wife in an apparent murder-suicide is being shut down.

Patients of Dr. Philip Gabriele have started collecting their medical records from the Gabriele Eye Institute in Mishawaka. Police found Gabriele and his wife dead at his Elkhart office June 15, three days after they were named in an indictment accusing them of financial fraud and injuring patients through unnecessary procedures.

The couple's friend, Susan Manuszak, said Monday that the business would close and that two optometrists currently employed there will be looking for new jobs.
