Central Indiana cities move trick-or-treat hours to Friday

Muncie and several other central Indiana communities are moving trick-or-treating to Friday due to poor weather conditions.

MUNCIE, Ind. (WTHR) — Changes to trick-or-treat times are rolling in as poor weather conditions are forecasted for central Indiana Thursday evening.

The City of Muncie is moving trick-or-treating to Friday due to poor weather conditions.

The city announced the change Wednesday morning.

New trick-or-treat times will be Friday from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m.


2019 HALLOWEEN TRICK OR TREATING HOURS: Due to the weather....Trick or Treating hours will be on FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 1ST FROM 5PM TO 9PM. Be Safe. Watch out for little goblins!! And...have fun!!

The North Vernon Police Department also announced a change in trick-or-treat hours. They have been moved to Friday from 5:30 until 8 p.m.

Kids in Hagerstown will trick or trick Friday from 6-8 p.m. now, according to the police department.

The trick-or-treating event inside Hagerstown Elementary's gym will still be Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m.

Pendleton has moved its hours to Saturday 6-9 p.m.

Lapel has moved their trick-or-treat hours to Friday from 5-8 p.m.

Greencastle's trunk-or-treat event will still be Thursday, but has been moved to the Inn at Depauw 4-6 p.m.

Likewise, Decatur Township firefighters will still be handing out candy from 5-8 p.m. Thursday, but the event will now take place inside Armstrong Pavilion at 5251 Kentucky Ave., as well as at Stations 72 and 74.

The city of Anderson has moved hours to 5:30-8 p.m. Friday.
