Broad Ripple Carnival returns for family fun

The Broad Ripple Carnival returns with carnival rides and games, food, drinks, and much more.

INDIANAPOLIS (WTHR) — Whether it's date night, quality family time, or hanging out with friends, there's plenty to do at the Broad Ripple Carnival!

The free, family-friendly 4-day festival returns Aug. 8-11 at Broad Ripple Park with carnival rides and games, food and drink, a craft beer garden, live music entertainment, community booths, and a history exhibit.

Tickets to carnival rides and games can be purchased for $1.50 each, or you can purchase a wristband to enjoy unlimited rides and games (Day: $15: Evening: $20).

Hours:

  • Thursday, Aug. 8: 6-9 p.m.
  • Friday, Aug. 9: 5-9 p.m.
  • Saturday, Aug. 10: 12-9 p.m.
  • Sunday, Aug. 11: 12-7 p.m.

The carnival kicks off on Thursday with the one-mile St. Paul's Community Dog Walk. The cost is $5 per pet and will begin at 6:10 p.m. at the Broad Ripple United Methodist Church. Click here to register.

Rock Lobster's DJ Rob Sabatini will be spinning retro hits through the decades on Friday from 7-9 p.m.

On Saturday, shop around local vendors and small businesses at Indy Urban Flea's Artisan and Vintage Market.

The United States Tennis Association will host free adult cardio and kid's skills tennis clinics at the Broad Ripple Park tennis courts on Saturday from 1-2 p.m.

Let your kids explore their creative sides on Sunday from 1-5 p.m. for Free Art in the Park for Kids.

Only handicap spaces will be available in the park. All other event attendees should park in the neighborhood surrounding the park.
