Bob Kravitz speaks on the importance of mental health

Kravtz was part of a panel and shared his personal struggles with mental health, which is often a topic that's not talked about enough.

FISHERS, Ind. (WTHR) — September is National Suicide Prevention Awareness Month, and to bring attention to the issue, Bob Kravitz spoke on the importance of mental health at Hamilton Southeastern High School Wednesday.

Kravtz was part of a panel and shared his personal struggles with mental health, which is often a topic that's not talked about enough.

"There are a lot of people like me who have wonderful jobs, wonderful families, wonderful everything, but they don't feel right for some reason," Kravitz said. "Don't feel guilt because you shouldn't have emotion issues. You have them, and you need to address them, and you need to address them as soon as possible."

Kravitz opened up about his battle with depression and anxiety earlier this year.

The main message from Wednesday's discussion was to not be afraid to ask for help.
