Beech Grove opens new training center and shooting range for police

The new facility is part of the city's effort to centralize police operations, court functions and civilian duties.

BEECH GROVE, Ind. — On Friday, the City of Beech Grove officially opened its new police training facility and shooting range.

The 8,000-square-foot facility is next to the city's new police station, which opened in 2023.

There are interactive training and simulation opportunities that the department says better prepare modern law enforcement agencies for real-world scenarios.

The new range will facilitate on-site firearms instruction.
