Authorities say a northeastern Indiana man has surrendered for arrest two days after a man he's accused of attacking died.

Angola police tell WANE-TV that 41-year-old Kenny Fletcher of Angola surrendered Monday night at the Steuben County Jail. Fletcher faces a preliminary charge of murder for the Saturday night death of 39-year-old Wilbur Renshaw.

Police say officers responding to a report of a fight found Renshaw lying on a street bleeding. He later died at a hospital in the city about 40 miles north of Fort Wayne.

Fletcher was jailed and it wasn't immediately clear whether he had a defense attorney.

The county coroner says Renshaw suffered extreme trauma to the chest but that a ruling on the cause of his death hasn't yet been made.
