911 dispatcher helps 10-year-old with CPR to resuscitate mother

A 10-year-old girl possibly saved her mother's life thanks to the help of a woman on the other end of the phone.

INDIANAPOLIS (WTHR) - A 10-year-old girl possibly saved her mother's life thanks to the help of a woman on the other end of the phone.

Hayley McKinley called 911 when her mom passed out and stopped breathing.

But IFD dispatcher Kris Mayfield told the fifth-grader exactly what she needed to do to give her mom CPR and they went through every motion step-by-step.

Dispatcher: "Count out loud for me. One, two, three, four. One, two, three, four."
Girl: "...four. One, two, three, four. Mommy, come on!"
Dispatcher: "Keep going, keep going. Just focus on the compressions."

The mother is now in serious condition at the hospital. Friday night, her daughter will meet the dispatcher who helped guide her through a difficult situation.
