INDIANAPOLIS (WTHR) — The Indiana State Department of Health released data that shows Indiana exceeded more than 10,000 coronavirus disease COVID-19 cases in April. The state is in the top 20 of most cases in the United States.

The Associated Press created lists that track the testing, positive and negative cases, deaths and other related metrics for all 50 states as well as US territories.

As of April 21, 2020, Indiana's total number of confirmed coronavirus cases was ranked the 16th highest in the United States. The US Census Bureau estimated Indiana is the 17th most populated state, which is mostly in line with the coronavirus case ranking.

The Associated Press said these charts and maps are updated regularly.
