INDIANAPOLIS — Thanks to a grant from the Indiana Breast Cancer Awareness Trust, women in central Indiana in need of a mammogram have a chance to get them for free.
Qualifying patients can visit Franciscan Health Breast Center in Indianapolis, Franciscan Health Indianapolis Imaging Greenbrooke in Greenwood and the Franciscan Health Breast Center in Mooresville for a free screening.
The screenings are designed for women who are uninsured, fall below the 300% poverty level and live in Marion, Morgan, Boone, Hamilton, Hancock, Hendricks, Johnson or Shelby counties. Applicants must be 40-years-old or older. Women younger than 40 are eligible if they have a family history of breast cancer.
