WESTFIELD, Ind. — Westfield Mayor Andy Cook is recovering in the hospital after testing positive for COVID-19.
After feeling ill, the mayor was evaluated by medical personnel and transferred to a hospital for further treatment.
According to the mayor’s staff, he is resting comfortably and expected to make a full recovery.
Cook said he has been vaccinated and boosted.
The mayor’s staff said he has been in daily contact with his senior staff and will return to work when medically cleared.
