SNL goes behind-the-scenes as crew pulls off amazing set change

The "Saturday Night Live" crew has about two minutes during the opening credits to completely dismantle a set and get the stage ready for the opening monologue.

NEW YORK (WTHR) - Things can get pretty crazy behind the scenes of live television.

But even with several live newscasts every day, what the crew at "Saturday Night Live" does every week even amazes us here at Channel 13.

Wednesday, the show gave viewers a peek at what goes on once the opening act (called the "cold open") and the monologue.

And it's pretty incredible.

That does explain why those opening credits are so long!
