INDIANAPOLIS (WTHR) - Known for owning a hotel where people checked in and never checked out, H.H. Holmes lived and killed in Indianapolis.


He's been called America's first serial killer and is linked to many gruesome deaths in the late 1800s.


Irvington's Halloween Festival
offers a terrifying look this year into the Holmes murders.


The festival features a haunted house called Hotel Holmes. It's open Oct. 27- Oct. 31 at 5529 Bonna Ave #10.
$1 from every hautned house ticket sold benefits victims of the the Aug. 2016 tornadoes.


Online pre-sale tickets are $10, and tickets sold at the door are $15. You can also purchase an express ticket for $20.
