Indianapolis - Five people were slightly injured Saturday afternoon after a dump truck crashed into a church on the city's near northside.
The dump truck crashed into the Pleasant Union Methodist Church at 25th and Dearborn.
Police say a Cadillac ran a stop sign before colliding with the dump truck causing the truck to go into the building.
A funeral was taking place inside the church when the accident happened.
The funeral was for Bobbie McCray's mother. She said, "We went to see how those people are doing to make sure they were ok. We can't do anything more for my mother, she is gone but the ones who are here we wanted to make sure they were ok too."
She said her mother was watching over them and protected the family and friends inside the church.
