Police investigating robbery at Keystone Crossing jewelry store

A popular jewelry store shut down for the day after a violent robbery Monday night.

INDIANAPOLIS (WTHR) - A popular jewelry store shut down for the day after a violent robbery Monday night.

Three men entered the Jared jewelry store at Keystone Crossing around 8:30 p.m. One person in the store suffered injuries after being attacked by one of the suspects.

The three men got away with an unspecified amount of merchandise. Jared stayed closed Tuesday to clean up and take inventory to determine what's missing. Metro detectives hope surveillance video can help them identify the robbers.

The trio stayed in the store for about a half-hour, taking off just before 9 p.m. Monday.

As part of the investigation, IMPD detectives interviewed a 32-year-old and a 34-year-old man about what they witnessed during the robbery. Officers also spoke with three women, ages 34, 45 and 63, who also witnessed the bold and brazen hold-up. The incident report initially completed by the officers who responded to the store made no mention of guns being used during the robbery, but that is part of the ongoing investigation.

Anyone with information on the robbery can call Crime Stoppers anonymously at 317-262-TIPS.
