34-year-old dead in near north Indianapolis shooting

The shooting happened in the area of 21st Street and College Avenue just before 11 p.m. Friday.

INDIANAPOLIS — One person is dead after a shooting on the near north side of Indianapolis Friday night.

IMPD officers responded to a report of a person shot in the area of East 21st Street and College Avenue shortly before 11 p.m. Jan. 26.

Officers located an adult male who appeared to have been shot. The man was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Marion County Coroner's Office identified the victim as 34-year-old Ralpheal ONeal Dorsey.

There is no information about a possible motive or suspect in the shooting at this time. Police are searching for witnesses who may be able to help with the investigation.
