NOBLESVILLE, Ind. (WTHR) - Noblesville police are inviting neighbors and businesses to join a program that could help them catch criminals in the act.

The program lets law enforcement know where security cameras are watching around the city. Then, if there's a crime in that area, the department can reach out and ask for permission from residents to access that video.

The footage captured on the cameras could help better identify suspects and cars.

You can register by filling out a simple form online. In just the first day of the program, about 40 people in Noblesville signed up.

Greenfield police launched a similar program in their city earlier this month.
