IMPD investigating homicide after man found fatally shot on far east side

The man was found Monday morning near East 42nd Street and North Post Road.

INDIANAPOLIS — IMPD is investigating after a man was found fatally shot on Indianapolis' far east side Monday morning.

Around 6 a.m. Feb. 12, officers responded to the 4100 block of Brentwood Drive, near East 42nd Street and North Post Road, for a death investigation. Officers located an unresponsive man who was pronounced dead at the scene.

Further investigation indicated the man had been shot, police said.

On Feb. 13, the Marion County Coroner's Office identified the man as 51-year-old Clevester Brown Jr.

Homicide detectives responded to the scene to begin an investigation. Police have not shared any additional information on the circumstances of the shooting.
