2 shot on east side of Indianapolis

The incident happened shortly before noon Tuesday in the 6000 block of East 38th Street, near North Arlington Avenue.

INDIANAPOLIS — IMPD is investigating after two people were shot on the city's east side Tuesday afternoon.

Police responded to a report of a person shot in the 6000 block of East 38th Street, near North Arlington Avenue, shortly before noon April 9.

Officers arrived and found two people who had been shot.

According to IMPD, one person is in "serious but stable condition" and the other person is "awake and breathing with minor injury."

Police have not shared information on a possible suspect or motive at this time.
