Supreme Court arguments in Delphi murders case will be streamed live

The January hearing involves requests made by Richard Allen, the defendant in the case.

INDIANAPOLIS — 13News has learned you will be able to watch the oral arguments before the Indiana Supreme Court next month on key questions in the Delphi murder case.

The justices will hear arguments in January on whether to reinstate the original defense team to represent defendant Richard Allen and whether Judge Francis Gull should be removed from the criminal case.

The court announced Thursday they'll be livestreaming the hearing on Jan. 18, 2024.

Allen is accused of killing Abby Williams and Libby German nearly seven years ago.

The state's high court weighed in for the first time in the Delphi case on Dec. 11. They denied a request from Allen,  who wanted the court to order the judge to make certain documents public and to follow state rules about sealing court records.

The justices said a recent ruling from Gull resolved most of the issues Allen raised, but also clarified the process for sealing court records.
