1 killed, suspects arrested in Anderson shooting

Officers responded to the area of 20th and Pearl streets around 10:15 p.m. Wednesday.

ANDERSON, Ind — Police in Anderson are investigating after a man was fatally shot Wednesday night.

Around 10:15 p.m. Jan. 24, Anderson Police Department officers responded to a report of shots fired in the area of 20th and Pearl streets

At the scene, witnesses directed the officers to a home, where they found 38-year-old Richon Reeves-Linley unresponsive with an apparent gunshot wound.

Medics took Reeves-Linley to an Anderson hospital where he later died, police said.

The Anderson Police Department's investigations division responded to the scene to begin an investigation.

On Jan. 25, detectives determined the location of two alleged suspects just south of the Anderson city limits. Later that evening, police took a 30-year-old and 19-year-old into custody for their alleged involvements in Reeves-Linley's death.

A 30-year-old and 19-year-old were taken into custody.
