Music, art take over Newfields for Penrod Arts Fair

More than 350 exhibitions will pack Newfields for the traditional art fair.

INDIANAPOLIS (WTHR) — Newfields will be the home of hundreds of art exhibits and live music this weekend.

The 53rd Annual Somerset CPAs and Advisors Penrod Arts Fair will take place Saturday, September 7 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

More than 350 art exhibits will be open for exploration.

The fair boasts four stages of entertainment, including live music in conjunction with Indy Jazz Fest. The acts include the Indianapolis Ballet, Gordon Bonham Band, Rob Dixon's Three Ring Circus and the Indianapolis Children's Choir.

A preview event is open on Friday. Guests at the preview will have the first opportunity to purchase art. The preview event also features food from restaurants including Ruth's Chris Steak House, Mimi Blue Meatballs and Convivio.

Attendees can save $5 on tickets by purchasing them in advance at penrod.org.
