INDIANAPOLIS (WTHR) - Fleming's Steakhouse on East 86th Street has closed after 15 years in business.

The last day of business was Friday, according to a spokesperson for Bloomin' Brands, the restaurant chain's owner.

"Our lease is expiring soon and we decided not to renew," was the reason given by Elizabeth Watts of Bloomin' Brands.

She told 13News some of employees will have the opportunity to transfer to a nearby restaurant owned by the company, which include Outback, Carrabba’s and Bonefish Grill.

"We’ve enjoyed being part of the community and thank everyone for their support for the past 15 years," said Watts.
