INDIANAPOLIS — A bridal gown giveaway is coming to central Indiana at the end of this month.

On Oct. 29 and 30, brides are invited to participate in the event in Columbus, Indiana located at 544 Washington St. The event is sponsored by Sophia's Bridal and Tux in partnership with Brides Across America.

Brides Across America is honoring active military, first responders, health care workers, and veterans by donating free bridal gowns. Salons will offer a selection of designer wedding gowns as part of the Operation Wedding Gown initiative.

"Together strong is my new mantra. I am so grateful for the selfless acts of our health care workers, first responders, and military that provide us support each and every day," Heidi Janson, founder of Brides Across America, said. "This is our way to keep us united in love and our way of thanking all of you."
