INDIANAPOLIS — As people prepare to celebrate Thanksgiving and all their blessings, some people are in need of assistance for the holiday.
Here are some places where you could get a free Thanksgiving meal.
BFA Turkey Day Giveaway
The Umbrella Center – 1061 East Southern Ave.
Nov. 21 from 1-3 p.m.
The dinner includes turkey, mashed potatoes, bread, vegetables, stuffing and desert. Text 317-680-6165 to reserve a box. All remaining boxes will be first come, first served.
Chef Borels Kitchen
6950 Michigan Road
Nov. 23 from 11 a.m.-4 p.m.
People can stop by Chef Borels Kitchen for free Thanksgiving meals. Curbside pickup will be done. People can call or text their parking space number and how many meals they need to 317-492-9448.
Good Samaritan Network Holiday Assistance
Locations include:

Nov. 23 from 11 a.m.-2 p.m.
All locations include a free, drive-thru meal. Assistance is on a first come, first served basis.

Families can stop by the locations on Thanksgiving Day to pick up a free meal while supplies last. Meal delivery begins at 10:30 a.m.

Johnson County Banquets will be hosting drive-thru meals this year. The hope is for an in-person experience next year.
