BROWN COUNTY (WTHR) - Over the next couple of weeks, when the leaves are hitting their peak fall beauty in Indiana, What's Cooking is on the road to southern Indiana.

Tonight we are in Brown County at the Farmhouse Café. It's a Nashville address, but it's actually three miles north of Bean Blossom. You will want to Google it for sure, because it's tucked out of the way on a beautiful piece of property, filled with fall colors.

The Farmhouse Café is inside an old home that dates back to the early 1800s. It's small and quaint. On a beautiful day, you will want to dine outside on the patio for sure. The surrounding property is also a flower and plant nursery, so as soon as you pull up, all you see is pumpkins and mums. It's gorgeous.

As for the menu, owner Sydney Nichols wanted to keep it fresh and seasonal.

"It's all made here. We don't import anything, whether it's salads or soups or desserts, we make everything from scratch. We use to make all of our breads as well, but we became so busy, we can't do that anymore so we get it from a local bakery."

During my visit, customers I talked with were raving about the chicken salad, which Sydney says they are known for. So of course I wanted to give it a try. But something else, too: milk lemonade. What? Who puts milk in their lemonade? Well, the Farmhouse Café folks do, and it was delicious.

Next week, we are in Nashville!
