Judy Collins announces performance at Plainfield's new performing arts center

Local artists will join Collins to perform at the celebration starting at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, May 2.

PLAINFIELD, Ind. — One of the nation's biggest folk artists is coming to central Indiana to perform this spring.

Grammy Award-winning artist Judy Collins announced she will be singing at the Hendricks Live! performing arts center's opening day celebration in Plainfield on Thursday, May 2.

Collins, best known for her social activism, will sing her popular hits like "Both Sides Now" and "This Train is Bound for Glory."

The concert and celebration will be the newly-constructed 600-seat theatre's first regular season event.

"We are eagerly anticipating the debut of this exceptional venue, poised to become a community treasure," said Robin Brandgard, president of the town council.

Local artists will also join Collins to perform at the celebration starting at 5:30 p.m.

General admission tickets go on sale Friday, Feb. 9 at 9 a.m. ET for $150. A VIP ticket option is also available for $200.
