Allison Gormly is the consumer investigative reporter at 13News.

Growing up, most kids tuned into cartoons on the weekend. Not Allison. Instead, her wise mother encouraged (forced) her to watch Suze Orman specials. And just like that, a consumer reporter was born.

For years Allison bored friends and family with conversations about saving money, interest rates, and insurance. Then in 2018, WINK News in sunny Fort Myers, FL hired her to tell even more people about those topics! On TV, no less!

There Allison covered everything from roofers who took deposits and ditched jobs, to contractors who allegedly preyed on the elderly. When not asking business owners ‘Where’s their refund?”, she reported on ways to save money on expenses like prescriptions and insurance. She also taught viewers how to research complaints and lawsuits using public records.

Before WINK, you could catch her covering stories in New York and New Jersey with nothing but a GoPro and cell phone for the show Chasing News.

Allison is incredibly excited to live in Indy and save Hoosiers big bucks! Outside the newsroom, Allison keeps busy trying to keep her houseplants alive, checking out new restaurants, and listening to podcasts.

Allison grew up in New Jersey and attended the University of Scranton. Yes, she watches The Office.

Although she is a Kansas City sports fan, Allison promises to root for the home team 99% of the time. She is still recovering from the Wild Card Game in which the Chiefs blew a 28-point lead, giving the Colts sweet, sweet victory.
