Live Doppler 13 night forecast | Saturday, May 18, 2024

It's been a warm and humid day across Indiana. Expect even warmer weather Sunday with a very low chance of a downpour.

INDIANA, USA — After some fog this morning, it turned about to be a beautiful Saturday across Indiana! It has been nice and warm and mostly sunny. A very low chance for a stray shower could randomly pop-up here or there the rest of the day, but the vast majority of Hoosiers should stay dry.

We are building on our warmth day after day. Expect some hotter weather Sunday as highs reach well into the 80s. Our heat index may be in the upper 80s. More sunshine is on the way.

TONIGHT

— Mostly clear

— Isolated/patchy fog could develop, not as widespread as Saturday morning

— Dropping to the 60s

SUNDAY

— Mostly sunny

— Very stray shower possible north and west of Indianapolis (20% chance)

— Highs in the 80s

A very stray shower is possible to the north and west Sunday afternoon and evening. We have higher pressure near the Ohio River so the farther north and west you go, the better chance you will have of a brief downpour bubbling up.

Overall the weather pattern should stay quiet, hot, and muggy for the next few days. Every once in a while a very stray downpour may develop and bring a quick soaking, but most of Indiana should stay on the drier side through Tuesday.

Wednesday will be the most active day next week as a cold front prompts more widespread shower and storm chances. A few strong to severe storms can't be ruled out. Behind the front on Thursday, temperatures will be more seasonal and the humidity level drops. Another round of some scattered showers and storms, especially south of Indianapolis may hit this coming Friday (Miller Lite Carb Day).
