4 adults, 1 child displaced after far east Indy house fire

INDIANAPOLIS — Four adults and one child were displaced after a house fire early Saturday morning on the far east side of Indianapolis.

According to a social media post from the Indianapolis Fire Department, shortly before 5:30 a.m. on April 6, firefighters were called to a home in the 3500 block of Biscayne Road, near 38th Street and Post Road.

Firefighters saw smoke coming out of the home as they arrived. IFD said firefighters made an "aggressive" attack on the fire and were able to get the blaze under control. They did not say how long that took.

No injuries were reported, but four adults and one child are now without a home. 

IFD said the cause of the fire is under investigation.
