INDIANAPOLIS (WTHR) — Winter coat? Not a a bad idea this morning as temperatures continue to dip for your trip to work and school.

It's not unusual that we would see frost and a freeze this time of year but it's real unusual to see another week of temps 10 degrees below average. This is a genuine cold streak in Indiana.

Frost and some sun in the morning give way to increasing clouds. A brisk southwest wind pushes temperatures into the 50s, but it will be feel more like the 40s because of the wind.

Some computer models indicate a little cold rain later, but if that happens it won't last long.

Look for cool and windy conditions tomorrow with increasing sun and a brisk wind. Plenty of sun on tap Thursday too before the next system brings showers and clouds Friday, mainly in the afternoon and evening.

Look for wet fields for Operation Football Friday night.

THIS WEEK IN CENTRAL INDIANA

1989: Across southern sections of central Indiana, severe thunderstorms knock down trees, blow off a roof, and cause street flooding.
