Indiana Long-Term Care Facility COVID-19 Statistics

Indiana state officials say they will not release information about the numbers of COVID-19 cases and deaths at individual long-term care facilities. Many local health departments and facility owners are also refusing to release information about coronavirus at specific nursing homes. 13 Investigates is tracking down that data and posting it on this searchable database to help seniors and their families make more informed healthcare decisions.

When 13 Investigates reached out to county health departments, we received a variety of responses. Some shared the numbers of COVID-19 cases and deaths for each facility. Others shared only death information. Still others declined to share any information or said they did not have it.

Health officials in Marion County refused to release any information about cases or deaths. Fishers has its own health department, separate from Hamilton County and, so far, it has also withheld all information. Morgan County released only aggregate numbers for all of the long-term care facilities in the county but would not identify specific locations.

Most owners of long-term care facilities are not publicly sharing details, but a handful did send details and that information is also included below.
