INDIANAPOLIS (WTHR) — Metro Police are investigating a deadly incident involving a train possibly striking a woman walking on the west side Thursday morning.

The emergency call came out just after 6:30 a.m. on a report of a person struck near Lynhurst Drive and Bertha Street south of Rockville Road.

The incident was changed to a death investigation after police determined a woman had been killed along the train tracks there.

Police say a train employee spotted the woman and called authorities, but could not say whether the train struck her.

On Thursday afternoon, the Marion County coroner's office identified the woman as Autumn Lynne Jarquin, 35, and said she died of "multiple blunt force trauma injuries."
