Woman arrested after children, 2 and 4, found alone in van at Walmart

NOBLESVILLE, Ind. (WTHR) - Police have arrested a woman who is alleged to have left two children unattended in a car parked in a Walmart lot.

Police were called to the store in the 16000 block of Clover Road at 1:32 p.m. Monday on a report of children left alone in a parked van. Officers found siblings, 2 and 4 years old, alone in the vehicle, which was not running. The windows were opened by approximately 6 inches.

It was 88 degrees outside at the time of the incident.

Police found the driver of the vehicle, the mother of the children, inside Walmart. She was identified as Liudmila V. Eaton, 40, Noblesville. She was held on charges of Neglect of a Dependent.
