ALEXANDRIA, Ind. (WTHR) — An Alexandria mother is accused of battering one of her children and allegedly bribing her with a toy if she would lie to police.

According to court documents obtained by our partners at the Herald Bulletin, when police arrived at the house, Kendall Stroud told officers the child was hitting a sibling over some medicine.

But the child told police that she didn't feel safe with her mom. She claims she asked her to lie to police about a previous incident, promising her a toy if she did.

According to the report, police found that toy inside the house, but Stroud told police she never asked her daughter to lie.

Stroud is a cafeteria employee at Alexandria Monroe Elementary School.
