Wintry Setup in the 7 Day Forecast - Live Doppler 13 Weather Blog

Angela Buchman

Wintry is a word to describe our 7 day forecast.

It will be clear through Wednesday evening, but clouds arrive around sunrise Thursday. Clouds will continue to increase on Thursday, but it will be dry. It will also be chilly. Early morning temperatures will be in the upper 20s and lower 30s. Afternoon temperatures will only reach the middle 40s.

The clouds will be the leading edge of a weather system that will bring the chance for rain and snow to central Indiana late Thursday night into early Friday. Right now we are not forecasting any accumulations, but it will be a slow and maybe in a few places slushy Friday morning drive. Here is the timeline with FutureTrak13.

There will be a chance for some steadier bursts of snow Friday night. A few places may have a quick coating on the grass or rooftops by early Saturday.

The rest of the weekend will be dry but it will be cold. The coldest air of the season is here for Saturday. This will mean Saturday morning wind chills in the teens. Despite the sunshine, afternoon temperatures on Saturday will only be in the middle and upper 30s. Expect more clouds than sunshine on Sunday, with highs forecast in the 40s.

Another fast moving weather system arrives later Monday into Tuesday. This one will also bring the chance for snow and a reinforcing shot of cold air. Highs will be in the 30s on Tuesday and Wednesday.
