Another wintry system will impact central Indiana today. Be prepared for slowed travel as slick roadways develop.

A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect in until 3 p.m. for southern Indiana, included Bloomington, Columbus, Bedford and Greensburg.

Snow showers have moved into southern Indiana and continue to push north. A snow/sleet mix will be possible through lunchtime as the moisture lifts northward through the state. Areas along and north of I-70 will see mainly snow through the afternoon with rain more likely to areas south as temperatures will be just above freezing.

Indianapolis and points north could see snow accumulations up to one inch with areas northeast from Tipton to Kokomo, Marion and Muncie seeing 1-2" of total snow. South central Indiana will likely just get a trace amount of snow, with rain mixing in.

The snow exits the state in the evening as a warm front begins to lift in. Some areas could experience some brief freezing rain during the overnight through morning drive time.

Monday will be a wet day with pockets of heavy rain possible.

A Flood Watch is in effect from Sunday night through Tuesday morning, as an additional 1-2" of rain will be possible. Afternoon highs will be in the upper 30s.

Scattered rain showers continue through Tuesday as warmer air surges in. High temperatures rebound to the upper 40s before a cold front arrives dropping temperatures into the lower 20s overnight with a brief changeover from rain to snow with any lingering moisture.

We get a dry day Wednesday with highs in the upper 30s before our next weather system brings rain in by Thursday night.

It will be a warmer end to the week with highs back near 50 both Thursday and early Friday. - Lindsey Monroe
