At this time last year, Indianapolis had already shoveled more than 50 inches of snow.

This year, we've only moved about 15 inches of snow.

Snow removal takes money and one spot looking to warm up the process is the Cultural Trail.

The Indianapolis Cultural Trail will kick off the inaugural Indianapolis Winter Warm Up Saturday.

The Winter Warm Up features four-mile and eight-mile run/walk courses on the Indianapolis Cultural Trail: A Legacy of Gene and Marilyn Glick.

Both race courses are entirely on the Cultural Trail, providing a unique urban race experience and showcasing the trail's public art and connectivity to downtown neighborhoods.

All proceeds will support snow and ice removal efforts on the Cultural Trail, which is cleared all winter long.

Registration is $25 in advance and $30 day of the race.

Both courses begin and end at City Market.

Fun facts About the Indianapolis Cultural Trail:

8 Miles of Cultural Trail; 588 trail Lights
11.25 acres of trail pavers; 1 Elvis Monument
