Williamsport - The Williamsport public library has been housed in an American Legion post since a fire last year, but it could be reopened in two weeks after rebuilding much of the original facility.

Much of the Williamsport-Washington Township Public Library was destroyed last year in an October fire. Officials set up a temporary library in the Williamsport American Legion Post.

Now volunteers are packing up books and materials and moving them into the rebuilt library at the original site. The library could be open in about two weeks.

Police and fire investigators ruled the fire an arson but have not made any arrests in the case.
