WHITELAND, Ind. (WTHR) - Doctors are checking out four people who managed to escape a house fire through a window overnight.

They want to make sure they're okay after breathing in the smoke.

It all happened around 4:00 a.m. Saturday in Whiteland. Firefighters tell us they were able to get the fire under control quickly.

But they have not yet determined what started it.

A GoFundMe page has been started to help raise money for the family.

According to the GoFundMe page, Aaron and Elizabeth Wright rented the home, where their two young daughters also lived.

The page was set up in an effort to replace vehicles and clothing, pay for medical expenses, and purchase a new home. The page also indicates all of the family's Christmas gifts had been destroyed after Elizabeth finished her shopping just the day before on Black Friday.
