PECOS, Texas (WTHR) - A four-year-old West Virginia girl who was reported missing nearly a month ago has been found safe.

The U.S. Marshals Service recovered Gracelyn June Scritchfield in Pecos, Texas Thursday, WVVA reported. Her father, Arlie Edward Hetrick III, was arrested on state warrants from West Virginia.

U.S. Marshals say Scritchfield appears to be in good health and is currently with child protective services.

An Amber Alert was issued for Scritchfield on July 22. Hetrick's vehicle was spotted in Arizona the next day.

Her mother said the girl went to visit Hetrick on July 13. Gracelynn was supposed to be returned home by 6:00 p.m. the following day, but when Gracelynn didn't arrive on time, Summer called Hetrick at 6:30 p.m. where she was told by Hetrick that he had taken Gracelynn on a week-long vacation. Summer was not told about the vacation prior to the visitation.

The trip was supposed to end on July 19, but she did not hear back from Hetrick, so she called the Fairmont police during the July 20-21 weekend.
