Snowy and Cold Weekend

Bursts of snow will cause some slick roads tonight and there is more snow in the weekend forecast.

INDIANAPOLIS — Scattered snow showers developed Friday afternoon and evening.  The snow bursts are scattered but where we have the snow it is enough to reduce visibility, cover the ground and cause some slick roads.  Check out this video our Kelly Greene posted on Twitter.

Expect those scattered snow showers to continue this evening and overnight.  Any accumulations will be less an inch and spotty.  There is a slightly more organized area of light snow in the forecast for Saturday afternoon.  Again accumulations look to be on the low side, but isolated areas of an inch or so will be possible.  The threat for light snow will linger into Sunday too.  Here is the snowfall potential through Sunday.

Our active and snowy weather pattern will last into next week, with another chance for snow late Monday into early Tuesday.  High temperatures will be typical for mid January and in the middle 30s through the middle part of next week.
