INDIANAPOLIS — A winter weather advisory is in effect for central Indiana for Friday from 3am to 11am.  The advisory is in effect due to the threat for ice accumulations early Friday.

Temperatures will be critical early Friday.  As long as the temperatures are at or below freezing, the rain that falls will be freezing rain and freeze on contact.  This will cause icy conditions early Friday, so stay weather aware.  Temperatures will climb above freezing by noon and the threat for ice will end.

Friday afternoon will be windy, with a few showers.  We are tracking another weather system for the weekend.  It will arrive later Saturday evening and linger into early Sunday.  There will be a few rain and snow showers possible.  Afternoon temperatures this weekend will be near 40 degrees.
